Rated 5 out of 5 by from Getting Fit The Easy Way Bought this airwalker a couple of weeks ago and love it. Easy assembly, just a few nuts and bolts which are clearly labelled. Took me, a mere female, approximately 40 minutes to put together on my own. It folds relatively flat and can be stored against a wall although is quite cumbersome to move around. A well made, stable piece of exercise equipment. Definitely recommend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bang for your Buck I've now used this a couple of times and feel I can make an honest review. Package came and the parts were well wrapped and protected. Instructions were - well normal for "put together yourself" items. It took me a while to figure out you need to swing the foot pedals around like a Ferris wheel to get them in the right position, but after that it was pretty easy. I didn't feel that the tools tightened the bolts/nuts enough, so I used my own tools, after it had been put together and used once. It is easy to use, and pretty sturdy. If you are like me and have used other air striders before (mine was a Tony Little Gazelle Freestyle) it is a bit of an awkward feel at first, because I was used to being able to "sprint" (ie use extremely long strides at fast pace). Because of the way the Nordic Air is set up, if you try to elongate your stride too much you end up smacking your knees on the leg bars. The same with leaning forward and taking long strides backwards - you tend to get a good metal thunk, if you stretch too much. The abdomen support was useless to me. I'm 5'.6" and the pad hit me in the chest, but you can use the machine just fine without it. I also find that the foot pedals are too far forward and don't allow you to get a good strong motion going (again you knock your knees on the leg joint). I ended up placing my foot halfway on the pedal so my heels hung slightly off the end, in order to increase my stride. Since the pedal is supported by a metal bar all the way back, this shouldn't cause any unnecessary strain on the equipment. Once I found my pace I did get a good workout. I could feel myself working all of my arms, shoulders and abdomen, depending on what position I was in (ie leaning forward or backwards, or using a shuffling stride or long stride) If you are looking for an extreme machine and like to get a bit aggressive during your workout, this is probably not the exercise machine for you. But it does the job and is a good supplement for when you can't get outside.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great indoor exercise I bought this for my wife as she was not happy with the air walker she had, very noisy and not sturdy to use so we returned the product to the supplier, the Nordic walker was more expensive but worth the extra cost, she is really impressed with the quality and sturdiness of the item. I have also myself used it and agree. It needs 2 to put the item together, but does not take up too much space, it can fold down but easier to leave up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth every penny Recently had open heart surgery and need to walk every day to build up my stamina, this exerciser is just the job, can do my walking whatever the weather and build up to jogging, and it's cheaper than a gym membership.
